1.Do the puzzles ever need guessing?

No. Every puzzle is generated on your phone, checked to have exactly one solution, and graded by the hardest step a solver truly needs. Easy stays on singles; Extreme reaches swordfish, wings, and short chains. Logic always gets there.

2.What do the two checks do?

Check square judges the digit in the selected cell against the real solution. Check puzzle marks every wrong digit on the board, and wrong cells stay red until you change them. Both count toward the checks shown on the win screen, so a clean solve stays visible.

3.What is the difference between conflicts and checks?

The conflict highlight flags a digit repeated in its row, column, or box, from the rules alone. It never looks at the solution, so a conflict-free board can still be wrong. Checks are the only feature that consults the answer, and only when you ask.

4.What are pen and pencil?

Pen writes an answer into a cell; pencil jots small candidate digits instead. Fill marks writes every legal candidate in one tap, and with auto-clean on, placing a digit tidies it out of the pencil marks it rules out. Undo is unlimited.

5.I got a new phone, where are my stats?

Everything the app keeps, settings, statistics, and the saved puzzle, lives in a local database on the device and never leaves it. That privacy comes with a trade-off: statistics do not transfer to a new phone. The app itself re-downloads free of charge from the store you bought it on.

6.Does it really work offline?

Always. Puzzles are generated on the device, the app makes no network calls of any kind, and airplane mode changes nothing. There is no analytics or crash reporting either, and iOS uses no permission-gated APIs at all.

7.Ads, accounts, subscriptions?

None of the three. Waiting Games: Sudoku is $2.99, once, paid up front. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no accounts.
